Cops Charge Man For Murdering Drake’s Friend Smoke Dawg

Smoke Dawg was on his way to success when his life was cut short after a shooting in Toronto.

(AllHipHop News) Police in Toronto have charged a man for murdering a popular rapper
Smoke Dawg was murdered in June of 2018, in a shooting the left the rapper and a producer named Koba Prime dead and another seriously wounded. 

Abdulkadir Handule and teen who was 16-years-old at the time of Smoke’s murder, are accused of opening fire on the trio outside of Cube Nightclub around 8:00 PM on June 30.

Handule made his initial appearance in court earlier this week, where police revealed his unidentified teenaged accomplice is still on the loose.

Smoke Dawg, born he suspects gunning down Smoke Dawg, born Jahvante Smart, was just about to blow up following the success of his 2015 single “Trap House” featuring French Montana.

He was also an opening act on the European leg of Drake’s “Boy Meets World” in 2017 before his untimely death. After he died, hit producer Murda Beatz dropped a posthumous track featuring Smoke Dawg titled “No Discussion.”

“All these gifts and blessed souls and inner lights being extinguished lately is devastating” Drake lamented during a tribute post to Smoke Dawg. “I wish peace would wash over our city. So much talent and so many stories we never get to see play out. Rest up Smoke.”
