Cops Search For Gunman Who Shot Rapper Big Cholo On I-80 In California

The well-known rapper was shot and killed last Saturday.

(AllHipHop News) A popular Bay Area rapper has been identified as the murder victim in a brazen shooting over the weekend.

Big Cholo, born Robert Edwards, was shot and killed on Saturday (June 15) after gunmen shot up his truck on Interstate 80 in Vacaville, Florida.

The cops say he was riding in a truck on the highway when another car on his car near the Orange Drive exit.

By the time paramedics arrived, Big Cholo was dead at the scene of the shooting.

"Most of these appear to be targeted, gang-related shootings," said CHP spokesman Officer Jon Fransen told Fox KTVU. "Our officers found the adult male with at least one gun shot wound, and we discovered multiple bullet holes in the side of the pickup truck."

In addition to rapping, Big Cholo's wife Mia Edwards said she had just started a trucking business with her late husband.

"The only thing Cholo would want is don't let his name die, play his music, keep it lit for him," his wife said.
