(AllHipHop News) Over the last year, Kanye West laid low after his public breakdown. It appears the Chicago native has been spending his time constructing beats for his G.O.O.D. Music family.
"I got a project I’m doing with Ye that’s all produced by him. He’s doing it for every artist on the label," Cyhi told the Grass Routes Podcast. "So Sean’s got one that's executive produced by him. Pusha’s next album is strictly produced by him. Teyana strictly, Kid Cudi’s, strictly. He does like 10 beats a day."
This week saw the arrival of Cyhi The Prynce's No Dope on Sundays studio album. The LP features Kanye, Pusha, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, and more.
Kanye also served as the executive producer for NDOS. Cyhi spoke with AllHipHop about Yeezy's role in creating the project.
"He was very involved at the beginning because I started working on the album at the beginning of the 'Saint Pablo Tour.' But due to his recent health issues, he kind of had to back off. He had to get his family and his life where he wanted to get it," said the Atlanta emcee. "I had to take all the notes that he gave me and finish them off myself. What I started doing was sending it back to him and say, 'How do you like that?' He would say, 'You should do this. You should do that.' Then I would make the tweaks. But he was heavily involved in the beginning."
