In addition, Jay-Z was ordered to testify before the Securities and Exchange Commission about Iconix allegedly devaluing the Rocawear brand. Damon "Dame" Dash co-founded Rocawear with Jay, and he helped sign Kanye to Roc-A-Fella Records.
Dame recently spoke with the Domenick Nati Show. The entrepreneur shared his thoughts on Ye's controversial behavior and Hov's issues with the SEC.
"I think it's very clear there's an imbalance, and I don't think people should take advantage of the imbalance just to bring awareness to their platforms," said Dash about Kanye. "He already said he's bipolar, so when you give a bipolar man a mic, I don't know what you expect. I don't think it's fair. He said it on television, he's on meds. So what else is there to talk about as it relates to him."
Dash went on to call out the media for focusing more on negative stories about celebrities than positive stories. However, he admitted he finds it "entertaining" to learn about the Iconix/Rocawear investigation.
"Sounds like some Donald Trump sh-t to me," responded Dame when Domenick mentioned Jay-Z not wanting to appear before the SEC.
