Dan The Automator Talks Doctor Octagon's First Album In Over 20 Years
(AllHipHop News) It has been 22 years since Kool Keith linked with Dan The Automator, Qbert and Kool Keith aka Dr. Octagon to release the debut album Dr. Octagonecologyst.
An attempt to release the second installment in the series in 2006 ended in a legal dispute, which saw Kool Keith distance himself from a "follow up" titled The Return of Doctor Octagon, which was released without his support.
Since then, fans have been wondering when Kool Keith would officially resurrect his Dr. Octagon character, and the answer is this April.
The new album Moosebumps: An Exploration Into Modern Day Horripilation is slated for an April 6th release date.
Dr. Octagon just dropped a new single titled"Area 54" featuring the original producers who crafted Dr. Octagonecologyst: Kool Keith, Dan the Automator, and Qbert.
"Area 54 is the greatest disco in the galaxy,” according to the Automator. “The things we 'haven’t' seen there," explained Dan the Automator who revealed the album was recorded during a marathon, 24-hour sessions at Automator’s studio.
