Dave East Tapped To Play Method Man In 'Wu-Tang: An American Saga' Series

RZA and Alex Tse are the creators of the upcoming 10-episode program.

(AllHipHop News) The cast of Hulu and Imagine Television's Wu-Tang: An American Saga will include an East Coast rapper. Harlem's Dave East is set to play the Staten Island-based character Shotgun, an assistant manager at the concession stand next to the Statue of Liberty.

Shotgun is apparently based on Wu-Tang emcee Method Man. The Tical album creator has stated, "Imagine: Hulu and Wu-Tang - I'm thrilled with this collaboration. This is a major win for Hip Hop."

Julian Elijah Martinez and Vinnie Pastore will also appear in the drama. Previously, Ashton Sanders, Shameik Moore, Siddiq Saunderson, Marcus Callender, Zolee Griggs, and Erika Alexander were announced as cast members.

Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man and RZA are executive producers for An American Saga. Other Wu brethren Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, GZA, and the Ol’ Dirty Bastard Estate are consulting producers.
