(AllHipHop News) PontiacMadeDDG has already mastered the YouTube space, and now the Michigan native is attempting to successfully break into the music business like fellow YouTuber-turned-performer Queen Naija. According to DDG, the 21-year-old already has a huge leg up on other recording artists.
"I'm signed to Epic Records, but I own all my masters. I'll just throw that out there. A lot of people can't say that, so I got a good deal going," the rapper born Darryl Granberry revealed in an interview with DJ Smallz.
DDG also admitted he just began his rap career in October 2017. The former Central Michigan University student has already collaborated on records with G Herbo, YBN Nahmir, Blac Youngsta, and Famous Dex.
Before partnering with Epic, Darryl became a star on YouTube via his vlogs, pranks, 1v1 basketball games, music videos, and other content. "The DDG Family" channel has over 2.2 million subscribers and 247 million views.
