Did Industry Politics Keep 21 Savage Off Ella Mai's Official "Boo'd Up" Remix?

The rapper's manager addresses the alleged omission.

(AllHipHop News) An official remix for "Boo'd Up" by Ella Mai arrived this week. The new version of the Top 10 hit features Nicki Minaj and Quavo.

The initial public response to the record was not favorable, with many listeners suggesting other artists that should have been put on the song. According to 21 Savage's manager, Kei Henderson, the Atlanta rapper was apparently set to link with Mai for a revamped "Boo'd Up."

"Politics gave u the boo’d up remix ur hearing. We have the original version with one of my favorite rappers whose name rhymes with one of one cabbage," tweeted Henderson Wednesday morning. "Industry sh-t makes my stomach hurt."

She later added, "This is a lesson about leverage... Anyway. I’m not mad. I’m motivated. If I had 7 billboard-topping superstars a n-gga wouldn’t dare take my artist off a remix."
