Did Netflix Cancel 'Luke Cage' Over "Creative Differences"?

The Harlem superhero's story won't continue on the streaming service.

(AllHipHop News) Some fans of Luke Cage were upset to find out the show will not be returning for a third season on Netflix. There was speculation the cancellation was due to Disney's decision to launch its own streaming service which will feature Marvel content.

However, a report from THRsuggests "creative differences" led to the end of Luke Cage.Cheo Hodari Coker was the showrunner for the series, and Mike Colter starred as the title character.

"A lot [of] memories. A lot of individual thank you calls to make. Just want to say thank you to Marvel, Netflix, the best Writer’s room, cast, crew, the Midnight Hour, all those who graced the stage at Harlem’s Paradise and the most incredible fan base in the world. Forward always...," tweeted Coker.

Netflix also recently canceled Iron Fist, another Marvel property. The streamer is still currently home to Marvel's Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and The Punisher.
