Diddy, Drake and Jay-Z Dominate Forbes Highest Paid Hip-Hop Artists
(AllHipHop News) Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has topped Forbes’ latest highest-paid hip-hop artists list.
The hip-hop mogul’s $130 million earnings in the past year lands him the number one spot.
His fortune stems from his Bad Boy Reunion tour, Diageo’s Ciroc Vodka partnership, and selling one-third of his stake in his Sean John clothing line for $70 million.
"I started my business career at age 12, delivering newspapers. I had a lot of elderly customers, so I would always put the newspaper in between the screen door and the door -- that caring made me different, made me better than the last paperboy," Diddy told Forbes of his legendary work ethic.
"Since then, I've always understood that if I give the customers my best and service them differently, whether music, clothing or vodka, I'll get a return on my hard work," Diddy said.
Drake comes in at number two with $94 million, while Jay-Z follows with $42 million.
Dr. Dre and Chance the Rapper close out the top five with $34.5 million and $33 million, respectively.
