Diddy Explains How He Pulled Through His "Deep Depression" After Kim Porter

The mogul took to social media to praise his fans during a tough time in his life.

(AllHipHop News) Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs leaned heavily on his family to pull him through a “deep depression” following the death of his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter.

The Bad Boy Records founder was left devastated when the model, who was a mother to three of his children, passed away unexpectedly in November.

Diddy took to Instagram to share the extent of his grief with a touching post, in which the 49-year-old thanked his kids with Porter, 11-year-old twin girls Jessie and D’Lila and 20-year-old son Christian, and his mother Janice Combs for being there for him during the trying time.

“Mama and the babies,” Diddy captioned an image of the girls posing with his mom. “The way my family has been strong has humbled me. They have led me. They brought me out of a deep depression. Their strength and love brought me back into the light. I love my family. THANK YOU GOD.”

The music mogul also noted that the trio shares the same birthday, 21 December, marveling, “they’re all born on the same day…!!!! My mother and the twins.”

Diddy previously took to Instagram to express his sorrow over the loss of Porter in the days following her passing.

“For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven’t,” he wrote. “I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much.”

The former couple dated on and off from 1994 to 2007, but Diddy and Kim remained close until her death.

Combs is also father to son Justin, 24, and daughter Chance, 12, with his respective exes Misa Hylton-Brim and Sarah Chapman, while he also took Kim’s 27-year-old son Quincy Brown under his wing during their relationship. Brown’s biological father is record producer Al B. Sure.

The Los Angeles County Coroner recently listed Porter’s cause of death as “deferred” pending an additional investigation.
