Diddy, Rappers Take On President Donald Trump At REVOLT Music Conference
(AllHipHop News) Sean "Diddy" Combs' REVOLT Music Conference is winding down in Miami, after a successful weekend of panels, networking events, showcases, and parties.
The 4th Annual REVOLT Music Conference kicked off on Thursday at Miami's Eden Roc hotel, where French Montana received a proclamation from the Mayor of Miami Beach.
On Friday, panelists discussed a number of topics on the music industry, before turning their attention to President Donald Trump.
The moderated discussion on Presiden Trump and his antics featured artists, writers, and activists discussing how they use the power of hip-hop to challenge the political system.
The "Hip-Hop vs. Trump" panel was moderated by Jeff Johnson, while panelists included David Banner, Joey Bada$$, T.I., Mysonne, Rev. Shane R. Smith (President, National Action Network San Diego), Datwon Thomas (Editor in Chief, Vibe) Rob Kenner (Executive Editor, Mass Appeal), Vanessa Satten (Editor in Chief, XXL), Karen Civil and Shaheem Reid (Host/ Writer/ Producer, REVOLT TV).
Diddy hosted an "AskDiddy" Q&A with eager attendees about "How To Get The Bag" in addition to his thoughts on the current political climate of the United States.
Last night, Diddy also hosted the RMC Gala Dinner with Andre Harrell, where Queen Latifah was honored with the Jimmy Iovine Icon Award.
Laury Hill, SZA and Daniel Caesar closed out the festivities with a rendition of Queen Latifah’s Grammy Award-winning song, “U.N.I.T.Y."
