(AllHipHop News) Queens, New York rap star 50 Cent had a pleasant, fun encounter with police officers last week.
50 irked the NYPD, after he posted a comment about Deputy Inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez, a police officer who is accused of shaking down Club Lust, and included his catchphrase #get thestrap.
Thousands of Fif's fans started trolling the officer, prompting the NYPD to threaten 50 Cent with charges, which led him to take the post down.
Last week, 50 Cent was attending an NYPD boxing tournament at the Smoker at New York Expo Center in the Bronx.
He happened to be sitting between Detective David Terrell -who was stripped of his badge after he was accused of falsely arresting people - and Terrell's lawyer, Eric Sanders.
“He was really a regular guy,” David Terrell said. “It was like hanging out with a friend that you had for 20 years.”
According to onlookers, Terrell and a crew of cops were excited to see the rap star and even started chanting his famous slogan #getthestrap, which originally landed 50 in hot water.
“They met there and hung out,” Terrell's lawyer, Eric Sanders added. “Everyone had a good time. The cops around them even had a better time.”
