(AllHipHop News) One tweet from Megan Thee Stallion had the internet speculating a huge collaboration was on the way. On August 1, the Texan tweeted, "Hotties I kno I said my song 'HOTGIRL SUMMER' would be dropping tomorrow but now it’s dropping 8/9! I promise it’s sooo worth the wait 🔥."
Megan's Hotties and Nicki Minaj's Barbz assumed that tweet meant the two female rappers connected for the upcoming single since they recently talked about working together on Instagram Live. The rumored collab received even more attention from their followers after Shazam listed "Hot Girl Summer" featuring Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign on its app.
On this morning's episode of The Breakfast Club radio program, co-host DJ Envy confirmed Meg and Nicki will be on the same track. Envy also revealed he already heard "Hot Girl Summer" and the Juicy J-produced record will premiere as an iHeartRadio exclusive.
Megan Thee Stallion previewed a snippet of the highly-anticipated song on her Instagram page. The clip sounded like Ty Dolla $ign was singing the hook and the City Girls were sampled for the production.
