(AllHipHop News) #LoveArmy is partnering with Roc Nation to present the Van Jones “We Rise Tour” at the famed Apollo Theater.
The New York City stop on the nationwide trek will feature special guests New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, Rev. Al Sharpton, and The Women’s March co-chairs Bob Bland and Carmen Perez.
It was announced that Hip Hop representatives DJ Khaled and Fat Joe will also take part in the event.
Khaled will serve as the MC and Fat Joe will perform.
The “We Rise Tour” aims to address the current division in the country and engage local communities to help address issues facing Americans.
Pressing concerns highlighted at the event include climate justice, criminal justice reform, and equal access to opportunities in the tech field.
100% of net ticket proceeds from the tour go to Jones’ Dream Corps nonprofit organization.
The NYC date of the “We Rise Tour” is scheduled for Saturday, August 5 at 7:30 pm.
