(AllHipHop News) DMX has been a lightning rod for negative press for the majority of the 2013 calendar year and it has finally taken a toll on the 42 year old rapper. In an official statement from his rep, DMX has cancelled his scheduled appearance on The Wendy Williams Show.
Originally set for a performance with Swizz Beatz later for today (November 6th) on the show, DMX is instead bowing out "due to media scrutiny" according to an official press release from the rapper's camp:
Due to recent media scrutiny, DMX will not be appearing on The Wendy Williams Show this week. The team apologizes to his fans who were anticipating his performance but we are holding off on interviews and focusing on making music and organizing a world tour.
Recently, DMX was arrested for minor traffic violations which TMZ reported to being "driving on a suspended license, driving while uninsured, and driving an unlicensed vehicle." X was soon released.
