(AllHipHop News) A facial composite of a wanted man in South Carolina went viral this week. The image gained a lot of attention because a forensic artist with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division appeared to use a legendary rapper's face.
“The witness said to us, ‘The guy looks a lot like DMX,’” said South Carolina Law Enforcement Division spokesperson Thom Berry. However, authorities made it clear the musician born Earl Simmons was not a suspect in the attempted murder case.
It comes as no surprise that DMX had something to say about his likeness apparently being used by the Columbia Police Department to capture a man accused of shooting a 27-year-old male victim outside of an apartment complex. TMZ spoke to the New York-based emcee.
"I think they just f*cked around and took a picture of me, somebody drew a picture of me and added hair to it. They know I'm on parole," said DMX before laughing. When asked why he thinks he was chosen as the model for the drawing, the "Get at Me Dog" spitter replied, "I don't know. You know, I'm in New York. That's the south. Sh*t is different down there."
