Ryan Coogler's 'Black Panther' is up for 13 trophies.

(AllHipHop News) With all the complaints surrounding certain award shows not properly recognizing particular communities, the NAACP Image Awards is one annual ceremony that specifically honors outstanding achievements for people of color. The 50th edition is scheduled to air March 30 on TV One.

Donald "Childish Gambino" Glover is up for five NAACP Image Awards in 2019. The multi-talented entertainer was nominated in the Television acting and directing categories for Atlanta. The show was also nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

The Carters, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, H.E.R., Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Janelle Monáe, Ella Mai, Tory Lanez, and other musical acts will have the chance to win an Image Award this year too.

Atlanta, black-ish, Dear White People, grown-ish, and Insecure are nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series. How To Get Away With Murder, Power, Queen Sugar, The Chi, and This Is Us are nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.

Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Crazy Rich Asians, If Beale Street Could Talk, and The Hate U Give are nominated for Outstanding Motion Picture.
