DONALD GLOVER WINS A GOLDEN GLOBE!

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Childish Gambino aka actor Donald Glover has took home a Golden Globe Award for the hit series “Atlanta.”

“Atlanta” took home Best Television or Musical Comedy, besting “Black-Ish,” “Transparent,” “Veep” and “Mozart in the Jungle.”

Donald Glover thanked the city of Atlanta and local Hip-Hop trio Migos and their song “Bad and Boujee” for the success of the series.
“Wow this is incredible,” Donald Glover said thanking the cast mates.

“I really want to think Atlanta and all the black folk in Atlanta, just for being alive and being amazing people. I couldn’t be here without Atlanta. I really want to thank The Migos, not for being in the show, but for making ‘Bad and Boujee.’ Like, that’s the best song ever.”

Other winners included Viola Davis for her role in “Fences,” and Tracee Ellis Ross for best Actress in a comedy or musical for “black-ish.”

“The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”won Best television movie or mini-series and “Atlanta” scooped another award for Best series, comedy or musical.

The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hills Hilton.
