Donda's House Officially Renamed After Spat With Kim Kardashian

It looks like Rhymefest is officially separating self from Kanye's antics.

(AllHipHop News) Organizers at Donda's House, a charity named after Kanye West's late mom, has officially changed its name to Art of Culture, Inc.

The nonprofit, co-founded by Kanye, producer Rhymefest, and Donnie Smith in 2011, officially announced the name change On Tuesday.

It was prompted by a row between Rhymefest, real name Che Smith, who accused Kanye of abandoning Chicago youth, and Kim Kardashian.

“We will always respect the memory and example set by Dr. Donda West,” Smith said in a statement. “We revere her work and were fortunate to have been taught by her. As we continue our work, we hope that this name change will represent an evolution of the organization and will result in more service and greater impact.”

And in a press release, the organization added: “Over the last few months, due to Mr. West’s controversial public political statements, the organization received communications of concern from sponsors, foundations and supporters.

"Students, alumni, volunteers and staff of the group met Saturday to discuss recent developments and the future of the organization. The group decided that the organization will maintain its mission, but will have a new name both to avoid confusion and honor the stated wishes of the West family.”

A row broke out online between Rhymefest and Kim after the producer slammed Kanye in a tweet to rapper Drake for ignoring the youth of his hometown Chicago.

Kim later aggressively defended her husband.

"You have the audacity to use Kanye's mom name to try to shed a negative light on Kanye...," she continued. "You better believe I will make it my mission to take Donda's House from you and let my children run it the way it should be run!"
