(AllHipHop News) A Waka Flocka Flame concert at the University Of North Carolina At Charlotte on Tuesday night was canceled after a shooting on the campus which killed two and injured four more.
The rapper, real name Juaquin James Malphurs, had been scheduled to perform a free gig for students at the Jerry Richardson Stadium on the campus alongside Saweetie and Next Town Down.
However, following the shooting, the show was axed, with Waka taking to Instagram to express his regret and share his prayers for those affected by the tragedy.
"I pray all my fans are safe and ok! (Not) sure what's going on, I just landed in Charlotte to terry news!" he wrote on his Instagram Stories. "I will not be able to perform or even make it to the venue. Please to all my supporters and followers be safe."
He later tweeted to concerned fans that he was "nowhere around" the university and was "safe."
Suspect Trystan Andrew Terrell, 22, was taken into custody by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department following the shooting after being disarmed of his pistol by an officer.
Charges against him are pending.
