Drake Named Spotify's Top-Streamed Artist Of All Time

Ed Sheeran, Eminem, The Weeknd, and Rihanna have dominated the service too.

(AllHipHop News) Streaming giant Spotify launched in October 2008. The Swedish company is celebrating its ten year anniversary by taking a look back at some of the most popular artists and content on the platform.

Canadian rapper Drake leads the list of top-streamed artists of all time. Drizzy is followed by Ed Sheeran, Eminem, The Weeknd, Rihanna, Kanye West, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Calvin Harris, and Ariana Grande.

Sheeran's "Shape Of You" is the most-streamed song of all time on Spotify. "One Dance" by Drake came in second, and Post Malone's "Rockstar" featuring 21 Savage came in at #4.

Drake's Views (#3), Post Malone's beerbongs & bentleys (#5), The Weeknd's Starboy (#6), The Weeknd's Beauty Behind The Madness (#8), Post Malone's Stoney (#9), and Kendrick Lamar 's DAMN (#10) were among the most-streamed albums globally. The list of most-streamed female artists globally included Rihanna (#1), Beyoncé (#4), and Nicki Minaj (#5).

According to Spotify, the service now has 180 million monthly active listeners in 65 countries, 40 million songs/podcasts, and over 3 billion user-created playlists. The Hip Hop centered RapCaviar playlist and The Joe Budden Podcast are Spotify exclusives.
