Drake Scores 9th Career No. 1 Album With 'Care Package'

The OVO frontman moves into a tie with Eminem on the all-time list.

(AllHipHop News) A collection full of already released songs is the #1 album in the country. Drake's Care Package collected 109,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release, landing it in the top spot on the Billboard 200.

Drake now has 9 career chart-toppers. The Canadian entertainer is only the tenth act to score that many leaders on the tally in history, and he is the artist with the most Number Ones in the 2010s.

Jay-Z holds the record with the most #1 albums for a rapper (14). Drake is now in a second-place tie on that list with Eminem (9). The Beatles have the most Number Ones all-time (19).

Earlier this year, Drake released his 2009 mixtape So Far Gone to streaming services for the first time. That project debuted in the Billboard 200's Top 10 with 45,000 first-week units.
