(AllHipHop News) The Billboard Hot 100 has basically become the Drake chart in 2018. Other acts like Camila Cabello, Childish Gambino, Post Malone, XXXTentacion, and Cardi B have reached #1 this year, but the OVO frontman has dominated the top spot.
"In My Feelings" logged its eighth week at the apex. This follows Drake's "God's Plan" leading the Hot 100 for 11 weeks and his "Nice for What" also spending eight weeks in the pole position.
Drizzy is now just one week behind Usher's record of 28 combined weeks for a single calendar year (2004). However, the Toronto rhymer tied Ush on the all-time list of career weeks at #1.
The Scorpion album creator and the Confessions album creator have both collected 47 weeks total atop the chart. This means Drake is currently on the same line with Usher for solo male artists.
Pop/R&B superstar Mariah Carey is the all-time leader with 79 weeks. Rihanna (60 weeks), The Beatles (59 weeks), Boyz II Men (50 weeks), Beyoncé (41 weeks), and Michael Jackson (37 weeks) are among the top seeds as well.
