Ella Mai’s “Trip” Reaches The Top 20 On The Hot 100 Chart

Add another hit to the British R&B artist's résumé.

(AllHipHop News) In the same week where Ella Mai was caught up in a remix controversy, the singer-songwriter’s “Trip” continued to move up the charts. The track jumped three spots to #18 on the latest Hot 100.

This gives Mai her second Top 20 hit on the Billboard chart. The double-platinum record "Boo'd Up” peaked at #5 earlier this summer.

"Trip" and “Boo’d Up” will appear on the upcoming Ella Mai album which is scheduled for release on October 12. The vocalist’s self-titled LP will follow 2017's Ready EP.

Jacquees was reportedly ordered to remove his version of “Trip” from YouTube and SoundCloud. 10 Summers label head DJ Mustard addressed the issue on Twitter, claiming Ella Mai wasn’t responsible for the "Quemix" being pulled off the internet.
