(AllHipHop News) Part two of Eminem's discussion with Sway Calloway was posted to YouTube on Wednesday night. The 14-minute clip includes the Detroit-bred emcee explaining why he chose to diss Joe Budden and Machine Gun Kelly on his Kamikaze album.
"Me and Joe Budden aren't friends like that. We didn't go to the same f*cking high school," said Em. "I get that part. But when I'm out here, flying around to different places, doing interviews, and trying to use my platform to pump up Slaughterhouse every chance I get, and you're using your platform to try to f*cking trash me."
He added, "You don't owe me nothing. But I've never got in a f*cking interview and been like, 'Joe Budden's sh*t is f*cking trash. That last album he put out is f*cking trash.' That's kind of the attitude I took with this whole album, Kamikaze. It's like, 'Okay, what if I gave everyone my opinion about them.'"
Budden was once part of Slaughterhouse, the now-defunct Hip Hop super-group once signed to Eminem's Shady Records. For years, fans have wondered why the foursome of elite lyricists never released the Glass House album.
According to Em, the SH members weren't on the same page as far as production for the project. Then Budden, Joell Ortiz, Kxng Crooked, and Royce da 5'9" supposedly chose to focus on solo efforts. In addition, Eminem denied Budden's suggestion that he and his manager received most of the money off Slaughterhouse.
"I hate to say this because I think the guys are super f*cking talented, but the album didn't do much to even recoup the first budget. Then we spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on the second album that never came out," Em stated. "What money didn't you get? I don't know if I made a f*cking dime off of Slaughterhouse. I don't care if I made nothing. I believed in them."
The Sway interview also addressed Eminem's feud with Machine Gun Kelly. The Kamikaze song "Not Alike" contained a direct shot at MGK, and the Ohio rhymer answered Slim on his "Rap Devil" diss track.
“You know you go down a f*cking wormhole of YouTube? So I see, ‘Machine Gun Kelly talks about Eminem’s daughter.' So I’m like, ‘What the f*ck?’" recalled Em. “Then he starts doing a press run, basically, about Hailie. I’m like, ‘What the f*ck? Yo, my man better chill. So, that’s not why I dissed him. The reason I dissed him is actually a lot more petty than that."
The Hip Hop legend continued, "The reason that I dissed him is because he got on... first he said, 'I'm the greatest rapper alive since my favorite rapper banned me from Shade 45.' Like I'm trying to hinder his career. I don't give a f*ck about your career. You think I actually f*cking think about you? You know how many f*cking rappers that are better than you? You're not even in the f*cking conversation."
