Eminem Calls Out Netflix For Canceling 'Marvel's The Punisher'

Will Frank Castle show up on Disney Plus?

(AllHipHop News) The Punisher is the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe television series to get dropped by Netflix. Steve Lightfoot's crime drama joins Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Daredevil on the list of canceled MCU shows.

One huge fan of Marvel's The Punisher is not pleased that the streaming giant won't be producing any more episodes. Eminem took to Twitter to vent his frustration in all caps.

"DEAR @NETFLIX, REGARDING YOUR CANCELLATION OF THE PUNISHER, YOU ARE BLOWING IT!! SINCERELY, MARSHALL," tweeted the Hip Hop icon.

The Punisher ran on Netflix for two seasons. Thirteen new episodes just premiered on January 18, 2019. The program stars Jon Bernthal in the titular role. Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, and Jason R. Moore were also part of the cast.

There is speculation the Marvel shows that debuted on Netflix could reemerge on The Walt Disney Company's forthcoming streaming platform known as Disney Plus. The service is expected to launch in the fall of 2019 with content from Walt Disney Studios properties such as Marvel Entertainment, Lucasfilm, Pixar Animation Studios, and ABC Studios.
