Eminem Earns 8th Consecutive Number-One Album On Billboard 200 Chart

The Detroit spitter sets a record.

(AllHipHop News) There may be an ongoing debate about the quality of Eminem's new album Revival. However, the Hip Hop legend still managed to open in the top spot on the Billboard 200 with 267,000 equivalent album units.

That achievement gives Em his 8th consecutive #1 on the album chart. According to Billboard, this is the first time an act has earned eight straight chart entries to open at the apex.

Jay-Z, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones also have eight Number Ones studio LPs in their respective catalogs, but none of those iconic performers had eight consecutive projects to debut at #1 without non-studio sets breaking the streak. The Beatles hold the record for the most #1 albums with 19, and Jay has the most chart-toppers for a solo act with 14.

Don't get me wrong, this is not Eminem best album, I'll be even real with the public people, I'm from Detroit ,Mi born and raised, this may be his worst album to date , (maybe or maybe not) . Honestly I miss the old Eminem, but I don't miss the old Eminem that talked about his moms, even if he was right, it's takes a real man to still feel guilty some what about what was really his victim card in the get go. I really love 5 tracks off of his new album, in fact based off of the new soundscan system, he basically can go 10 times platinum off of streaming & single sales alone. Walk On Water is such an amazing song, I really love that song. Em is still in my top 5 emcee's dead or alive but he needs to really give his true fans what they want without going back in the past. Slim stay off of the drugs, never stop making music.
