(AllHipHop News) It appears the ongoing saga involving Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon, and Eminem will continue into the near future. The latest installment in the narrative comes from Fat Joe and Dre's new Family Ties album.
Eminem provided a verse on the track "Lord Above" which directly addresses the former married couple. The bars seem to be a response to Cannon's recent interview on T.I.'s ExpediTIously podcast where the Wild 'N Out host spoke about their ten-year feud over Mariah.
"I said, 'I know I'm not gonna be able to out rap you, but I will whoop your ass.' Those were the exact words at the time. Cooler heads prevailed," Cannon told Tip in September.
Eminem fired back by rapping, "I know me and Mariah didn't end on a high note. But that other dude's whipped, that p*ssy got him neutered. Tried to tell him this chick's a nut job before he got his jewels clipped. Almost got my caboose kicked? Fool, quit. You not gonna do sh*t. I let her chop my balls off too 'fore I lost to you, Nick."
"Lord Above" also features the legendary Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige. In addition, Fat Joe recruited Jeremih, Bryson Tiller, Cardi B, Anuel AA, Remy Ma, Ty Dolla $ign, and Lil Wayne for Family Ties.
"We got a classic, but the way you see the feature list, you might just think it's a bunch of features. Some people get some features and put everything together. This album, it's almost like Hamilton, to where ten years from now we could probably make a play of it," said Joe about his latest LP.
Nick Cannon has reacted to Eminem's verse on Fat Joe's "Lord Above" song. He tweeted, "SCRAM SCRAM BLAM BLAM... NICK CANNON!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don’t care what the world says, I think You still got it Marshall! @Eminem."
The "Gigolo" rapper also addressed Em in a video from his Power 106 radio show. Cannon posted the clip on Instagram with the caption, "Let’s Wild Out Marshall!!! 🤣🤣🤣@Eminem @mtvwildnout @NickCannonMornings In the MuthaFuk’n Santa Suit!!! 🎅🏾."
