Daniels and Bryshere Gray sit down with 'The Breakfast Club' to talk about their upcoming work and more.

(AllHipHop News) Is the world ready for a feature film covering the story of OutKast? Back in May, Big Boi talked about possibly connecting with Empire creator Lee Daniels for a biopic about the Grammy-winning Hip Hop group.

"Me and [Andre 3000] just spoke about it last week when I was in New York," said Big Boi at the time. "I think he might have been taking a couple meetings talking to people and then I got a couple of people in mind that I’m gonna talk to, one of them being Lee Daniels who I just did the TV show Star with, so yeah all that’s coming and we just know it’s time to do it. It’s coming!"

Daniels appeared on The Breakfast Club this week, and he was asked about making an OutKast movie. Apparently, the motion picture is already in the works.

"We started. I love him," said the 57-year-old filmmaker about Big Boi. "I'm excited about it. I think that's some potent material right there."

Bryshere "Yazz" Gray joined Daniels on The Breakfast Club to promote the upcoming seasons of Empire and Star. They also discussed mental health, homophobia, transphobia, The New Edition Story, a new "Black Renaissance" in Hollywood, and more.

Terrified of Lee Daniels doing this movie but he's a solid director so I hope my fears are completely unfounded.
