(AllHipHop News) R&B legend Erykah Badu showed support for Colin Kaepernick's protest against police brutality and social injustice at the 2017 Soul Train Awards. While hosting the event, Badu took a knee on behalf of the NFL quarterback turned activist.
"I know I usually do a big elaborate musical number, but right here, I feel I need to do this," she told the audience before going down on one knee. "This is for Kap. Kap, we appreciate you giving your life, giving up your dream because you believe in us."
Earlier this year, Cardi B shouted out Kaepernick at the MTV Video Music Awards. The "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker said, "Colin Kaepernick, as long as you kneel with us, we're gonna be standing for you."
