JOEY CRACK BREAKS DOWN HOW THE COLLABORATION CAME TOGETHER

(AllHipHop News) New York City representatives Fat Joe and Jay Z were able to finally set aside whatever past differences they had in order to unite on the recently released “All The Way Up” remix.

Joe managed to complete his bucket list item of doing a record with the Roc Nation boss thanks to some friends setting up a conversation between the two emcees.

It turns out fellow NYC rappers N.O.R.E and Memphis Bleek played a major role in Jay eventually hopping on the track. In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com, Joe explained how the collaboration came together.

“I reached out to N.O.R.E, because he had a serious relationship with Memphis Bleek. He got Bleek on the phone, and I told Bleek about the plans. He called Jay Z, and Jay Z called me back in like five minutes. He said, ‘Let’s’ do it. I can’t wait.’ The rest was history,” said Joe.

Even before Hov added his voice to the remix, Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s original “All The Way Up” was a smash. The song has broken onto several Billboard charts, its video has collected over 20 million views on YouTube, and the track has become the go-to summer 16 beat for freestyles.

Joey Crack is fully appreciative of the song’s success, and the Terror Squad leader values his three decade journey in the entertainment business.

“I’m not just happy, I’m ecstatic. It feels like I’m smoking crack or something. I don’t know how to act. [laughs],” added Joe. “You gotta understand in 1993 I came out with my first single, ‘Flow Joe,’ and it went #1 in the country. And now 23 years later we got a top 10 song in America. It’s unheard of in Hip Hop music.”
