EXCLUSIVE: Prosecutor Replies To Nine Trey Godfather Letter And Recommends Prison Over Tekashi 6ix9ine Hit

Tekashi 6ix9ine's testimony helped secure the convictions of 12 men associated with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, including the gang's "Godfather," Mel Murda.

(AllHipHop News) The man charged with running the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods and sanctioning an assault on Tekashi 6ix9ine will get no mercy from the court when he is sentenced later this month.

Last week, Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones wrote a passionate letter to Judge Paul Engelmayer.

Mel Murda confessed to falling back into gang activity in 2005, shortly after he was released from prison.

He ultimately signed with Diplomat Records, but the fast lifestyle of the music business kept him "in contact with elements of New York City’s gang culture."

The 39-year-old asked for leniency for the sake of his two young children.

Federal prosecutors scoffed at the message Mel Murda sent to Judge Paul Engelmayer pleading for compassion, while insisting he needed one more chance to turn his life around.

"The defendant’s statements that he wants to reform his life ring hollow. It appears that every time he has been confronted with an opportunity to leave the gang world, he rejected that choice and embraced Nine Trey," said lead prosecutor Geoffrey S. Berman.

Mel Murda was one of 12 men arrested in November of 2018 by the government, in a RICO case over drug dealing and violent acts perpetrated on behalf of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine.

He was indicted for racketeering conspiracy, narcotics trafficking, and firearms use. In April of 2019, Mel Murda pleaded guilty to the charges.

Last month Tekashi 6ix9ine sat on the witness stand for three days and helped secure the convictions of fellow gang members Aljermiah Mack, aka “Nuke,” and Anthony Ellison, aka “Harv."

Tekashi 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, divulged details on the inner-workings of the gang, as well as the war that exploded over their management of his lucrative rap career.

Another Nine Trey Gangsta Blood member named Kristian Cruz was also a cooperating witness for the state and he named Mel Murda as The Godfather of the gang as well.

Cruz said he was a "Five-Star General" in the gang who dealt drugs with Mel Murda. Together they made almost $500,000 selling fentanyl and heroin.

Cruz was ultimately arrested when he sold a few pounds of the lethal drugs to an undercover cop in November of 2018.

Cruz agreed to flip and helped undercover cops execute a controlled delivery of two kilograms of heroin, which Mel Murda delivered to an undercover NYPD officer on November 15, 2018.

The Feds claim Mel Murda continued to run the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods from prison after his arrest. He was also caught sanctioning violence against Tekashi 6ix9ine on a wiretapped call.

"In one of those calls, the defendant and Jim Jones, who was identified at trial as another Nine Trey member, discussed shooting members of Hernandez’s security detail in order to get to Hernandez," Geoffrey S. Berman said.

Berman asserted that even though Mel Murda may not have partaken in the acts of violence himself, he is still culpable since the majority of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods on the street reported to him.

"The wiretap on the defendant’s phone shows that, up until the moment he was arrested in this case, he was the leader of this violent and destructive gang. He was proud of what he had achieved and about his status in the gang," Geoffrey S. Berman told Judge Englemayer. "And, he was dismissive of others, like Hernandez, who the defendant believed did not put enough 'work' in to be a part of the gang.

"Specifically, when Hernandez denounced Nine Trey and made derogatory statements about gang members, the defendant discussed 'violating' Hernandez with both Jordan and Jim Jones," Geoffrey S. Berman explained.

Berman is advising Judge Engelmayer to send Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones to prison for 14 years and the Feds are also instructing him to hand over $20,000 he made from two drug deals.

"A lot of the time what stops the movement is life, paying Rent, phone bills, cable bills, food, gas, electric, kids, spouses." Exactly, society has been created in such a way by the ruling elite that we all fight amongst each other trying to make money to buy shit we don't really need whilst stressing and hitting rock bottom depression whilst the powers that be just watch and observe us all. Gangs, police, racism etc, all things that preoccupy the poor whilst the rich live their best lives.

@Billiejean4real I don't thinks its feasible for Mel Murda to be able to protect Tekashi because that would allow anyone else who might want him dead to kill him, knowing that Murda is gonna get the wrap for it. Plus, Mel Murda denounced the gang so he'd be busy looking out for his own ass. He's already been nearly stabbed to death in prison for denouncing the gang so his clout, ranking, and authority in the gang have been stripped from him.

If asked to give an opinion concerning Murda Mels plea for lenancy I would ask the Prosecution to rethink the decision and this is why. Murda Mel should have to take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for Tekashi 69's safety on the streets as a pre-requsite of his release. And should ANYTHING happen to tekashi, Murda Mel should have his sentence reinstated. If someone does something to tekashi to get back at Murda Mel for ANYTHING then that person should either receive Mel Murdas Sentence or be left to the streets to be dealt with. This needs to be a time for change in the Black Community. Locking this man up serves no real purpose and will only perpetuate the violence. If Murda Mel really wants to make a difference in this world let's give him a chance to do it the right way. It's not as if the Bloods And the Crips or Piru or any other street Gang are the only Gangs in America. The Judges are in a gang called the Masons or Illuminati. The Police in a gang called Blue Bloods. The KKK got a gang the Italians got a gang on and on. I can't speak for everyone but most people are snitches think about it, how y'all be sitting around gossiping about other folks business thats the same thing as snitching if you giving information that the listener didn't know before you told it. So is it fair to wish harm upon everyone? NO. And it's not as if the police didn't know ALL y'all s biz in the first place but I'll save that for another time. What I want to happen is this, that my Brothers rise above the gang Mentality and become Warriors for the betterment of or Children, Women and the African American Community. If not now when? I hope and Pray that this message reaches the right Eyes And Ears.

Back in the day when we were FREE and In Africa before phone's we would tell the story and another warrior would pass it on to the next village and that Village would send its best Warrior to pass it on until it got to the right Ears. God don't make mistakes he creates opportunities so now you have the torch and it has been charged to you to pass it on until it resounds through our nation as did the beating drums in the motherland. We have lived in doubt as to our true power for many years I am but one finger of a hand and you are the other and with enough Warriors such as yourself we can become a POWERFUL FIST.

You remind me of one of the Apostle's, remember when Jesus gave the sermon on the Mountain and lunch time came they only had a few fish and a couple loaves of bread. But through faith they fed over 5000 believers and a few that came back for seconds.

What nobody is talking about is that 69 is the only one that talked. And another thing. Just recently Murder was almost killed for renouncing the gang in jail. Yes he was stabbed a couple of times. His lungs and his liver are bad from the stabbing and something else.. That why the judge sentence him to 51/2 yrs.. That's not bad for what he did. I just hope that he meant everything he said in that letter to the judge.. And may God protect him from them ppl..in prison. Another thing why is Jim Jones not lock up. What he did on the phone is consider conspiracy.. that's a big charge.. But yet he is out here making videos and enjoying his freedom..He needs to be charged.. Unless he is an informent.. For the Feds.. He is the only one that is not being charge..Dime dipping mofo..

But You are like me a believer in the impossible. You have the power too. Think about it, how many Facebook friends do you have and Instagram followers? Lead them here and tell them to tell their friends, on and on. A lot of the time what stops the movement is life, paying Rent, phone bills, cable bills, food, gas, electric, kids, spouses. We ALL want to do something when we see injustice and not implying that this situation is a case of injustice, but I'm tired of sitting around talking about what needs to be or should be done, with my friends. And it doesn't matter if your friends agree with what I'm saying thats ok too. But lead them to the message all we can hope is that somewhere up the chain there's a judge or an Attorney that can present my theory. If so you would have done your part. And realized how strong you are never forget there's strength in numbers. Thanks

I wasn't aware that Murda Mel was assaulted while in prison but the first thing I would do if I were him is change my name. When a person is locked up in Prison they have very little to lose, and if one is trying to gain clot then it would stand to reason why an attempt would've been made on him. I did listen to the phone conversation with Jones who seemed to be leading it as far as the subject Matter. However before the conversation 20 Officers killed 25 Black folks who did nothing and all but 1 got away with it because instead of having a jury trial they had a trial by the Illuminati I'm mean Judge. The one that went to Jail had a trial by Jury got 7 years and will be out in 3/2 while a Brother got 25 for shooting a police dog and the Dog didn't even die. Ain't no justice in that. The only thing I can Say bout Jim Jones is should he call don't answer.

TROUBLES DELIGHT..

But that exactly what I do. On Facebook or Instagram.. I share. Exactly what you and I believe in.. But no matter how much. I spread or share nobody wants to listen. All that listen to or like. Is the dum shit people post.. But it's not gonna stop me from sharing or post my believed.. Cause somebody out there will read it. Im not giving up hope. That 1 of my messages will get across some one some day...Cause that 1 person will share I'm hoping and praying..

Imagine the police going after Mel Murda for planning a hit on 69. But when 69 was planning hits on rappers he was an innocent kid who fell in with the wrong crowd.
