The varying perspectives range from praise to protest. Veteran Hip-Hop cultural critics like Sway Calloway have lauded B's stance. Republicans -- such as former New York City mayor, Rudy Giuliani -- and various police officers from departments across the nation have taken offense to Beyoncé perceived motives.
With the unwillingness of various peace officers to provide security for B's concerts, Louis Farrakhan, has personally promised to protect the iconic entertainer. Yesterday (Feb. 21), while preaching in Detroit, at the 2016 Saviours' Day, the N.O.I. leader made his position clear.
Farrakhan challenged Giuliani's response. He declared, "Look at how you treatin' Beyoncé now. You gonna picket. You not gonna offer her police protection. But the FOI [Fruit of Islam] will."
