Fans Show Support To Denzel Curry For Opening Up About Being Molested As A Child

"I'm going to be real. I did get molested when I was young."

(AllHipHop News) South Florida recording artist Denzel Curry addressed various serious subjects on his Ta13oo album. The three-volume LP covers the light, the gray, and the dark side of the 23-year-old performer.

Curry got even more personal during a recent interview on The Breakfast Club. Co-host Charlamagne Tha God directly asked Denzel if he had ever been molested as a child.

"I'm going to be real. I did get molested when I was young. I don't like talking about it because I don't want that to define me," revealed the 2016 XXL Freshman Class member. "It's different because you feel emasculated. That's why most men don't come out and say that happened to them. [For] women, it's easier. But [for] men, it's not, because you don't want to be seen like a b*tch."

He later added, "It's really not something I like talking about. I don't like feeling like that. I just don't like thinking about it. I hate it. That's what makes me want to be a better person every day."

Many social media users reacted to Denzel Curry's revelation with words of support. The conversation on Power 105.1 also included the Carol City native talking about Ta13oo, his relationship with XXXTentacion, the new generation of Florida rappers, and more.
