Fans Sign A Petition Calling On MTV To Hire Method Man & Redman For ‘How High 2’

Should the network make sure the emcees are part of the production?

(AllHipHop News) MTV is said to be producing a sequel to the 2001 stoner flick How High. So far, the film’s cast reportedly includes Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, DC Young Fly, DeRay Davis, and Nene Leakes.

Some fans of the original cult classic are upset that legendary rappers Method Man and Redman are supposedly not returning for the new version. Care2 user Harlan E. even started a petition calling on MTV and director Bruce Leddy to bring back Meth and Red.

“This is a travesty and an injustice! We need your signatures to show that they need to be included in the sequel,” reads a statement on the petition website.

According to the AJC, the production is looking to hire Atlanta-area African-American men, ages 18 to 30, to play fraternity members in the TV movie. How High 2 is expected to air on MTV in 2019.
