First-Week Sales Projections For Drake's 'Scorpion' Album Decrease

The "Nice For What" performer reportedly won't be selling a milli in a week this time.

(AllHipHop News) It appears Drake's new Scorpion album will not cross the 1 million sales mark. Early projections had the LP moving between 870,000 to 920,000 units, but those numbers have now dropped.

HitsDailyDouble reports Scorpion is presently looking to land in the 725,000 - 775,000 range. The decrease is being led by a fall in predicted traditional album sales from 275,000 - 300,000 to 150,000 - 160,000.

Scorpion has been met with mixed reviews. The set currently has a 69/100 critic score and a 4.4/10 user score on Metacritic.com. Both ratings are the lowest of Drizzy's career.

Drake's last studio LP, 2016's Views, earned 1.04 million equivalent album units, selling 852,000 copies. The Toronto representative's 2017 "playlist" titled More Life collected 505,000 Sales + Streaming units and 226,000 pure sales units.
