(AllHipHop News) Did Twitter users' bashing of Quavo's Quavo Huncho dampen the streams for the album? Or did the intrigue around Quavo's "Huncho Dreams" song about Nicki Minaj cause people to check out the project?
It looks like the Migos member was able to collect a respectable number of first-week sales. According to Hits Daily Double, Quavo Huncho is projected to move between 100,000 - 110,000 units.
That range may not be enough to claim the #1 spot because Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's A Star Is Born soundtrack is expected to move another 125,000 second-week units. Meanwhile, Ella Mai's self-titled debut LP is expected to compile 50,000 - 55,000 units.
Back to Quavo, 100,000 units for Quavo Huncho is lower than the opening week numbers for both of Migos' chart-topping albums - 2017's Culture (131,000) and 2018's Culture II (199,000). In comparison to other recent Quality Control releases, Quavo Huncho should top Lil Yachty's Lil Boat 2 (64,000) and Lil Baby's Harder Than Ever (71,000), but it's on pace to fall short of the 130,000 units for Lil Baby and Gunna's Drip Harder.
