(AllHipHop News) Rapper Flo Rida it has been ordered to pay a massive judgment, after canceling a show in Australia
Mothership Music, Organizers of the Fat As Butter Festival, sued the Miami rap star, after he bailed on an October 2011 show, just two hours prior to his performance.
A very public disagreement ensued, with Flo Rida complaining about his transportation and lodging, while organizers took issue with the rapper's attitude and professionalism.
According to the Daily Herald, The NSW District Court awarded Fat As Butter organizers $400,000 in damages over the concert.
Although organizers lost $50,000 due to the cancellation, the lawsuit claimed that Fat As Butter lost up to $400,000 in extra ticket and concession sales.
In April, the rapper was ordered to pay $80,000 for performance and damages, but that amount was increased to $400,000 by the Judge.
"The no-show by Flo Rida damaged the trading regulation of the plaintiff, impacting its ability to stage future events, attract patrons and compete with rivals in the music event industry," Judge Judith Gibson ruled.
Flo Rida was absent from the court proceedings and wasn't available for comment as of press time.
