Frank Ocean Expected To Release 'Boys Don't Cry' Album This Week

APPLE MUSIC APPEARS TO HAVE GOTTEN THE EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE TO THE PROJECT

(AllHipHop News) Maybe the cryptic video playing on Frank Ocean's website is a sign the R&B singer is really ready to release his long-delayed second studio LP.

The New Orleans native became a trending topic on Twitter after the circulation of a New York Times article suggesting the new Boys Don't Cry album is on the way this week.

The publication reports:

Mr. Ocean, the innovative and enigmatic R&B singer, is set to release his next album, “Boys Don’t Cry,” on Friday through an exclusive deal with Apple Music, according to a person with knowledge of the release plans. The release is also expected to include a major video and a printed publication called “Boys Don’t Cry” that will be distributed at Apple stores.

Apple Music added to the speculation when the company's twitter account posted a tweet that simply read "Frank" with a link to the same clip running on Ocean's site. Boys Don't Cry is expected to be an Apple Music exclusive for two weeks before extending to other outlets.
