The debate over Hov's alliance with the National Football League rages on.

(AllHipHop News) The last several days has seen people take sides on the issue of Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter partnering with the NFL for an entertainment deal and social justice initiative. Many of the complaints centered around the fact that former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is still not employed by a team.

For example, First Take commentator Stephen A. Smith and Carolina Panthers player Eric Reid went back and forth over the topic. Plus, Hip Hop artist Freddie Gibbs came out on social media to defend Jay. The Indiana-bred emcee took it a step further by blasting Kaepernick and his supporters.

"I'm riding with Jay-Z, straight up. F*ck Colin Kaepernick," said Gibbs. "All y'all n*ggas marched for Colin Kaepernick and he took a settlement and ain't tell y'all what he got or nothing. He settled. Let it go. Y'all hating on Jay-Z for trying to own something in the NFL. Y'all n*ggas some motherf*cking crabs."

There have been rumors that Jay-Z is planning to become an NFL owner in the future. However, neither the rap legend nor the league have confirmed those reports. As far as Kaepernick, Hov was quoted saying, "Everyone heard, we hear what you're saying, and everybody knows I agree with what you're saying [in Kaepernick's underlying message]. So what are we gonna do? You know what I'm saying? [Help] millions and millions of people, or we get stuck on Colin not having a job."

Yup, I got the point. One of the reasons why we cant stick or work together smh

Seriously niggs divide on everything. We don't have to attack a situation the same way..Kap got his way of doing things and Jay got his way..Malcom X and MLK had different approaches but they still wanted the same thing..I'm not comparing them to the civil rights legends but I hope you get the point..
