French Montana, Other Top U.S. Rappers Help Launch DRIP Festival In Australia

French is heading down under to help kick off a new hip-hop festival series.

(AllHipHop News) Rap star French Montana will be one the top acts to launch a brand new Hip-Hop festival in Australia.

The Bronx, New York rap star has been announced as a headliner for the inaugural DRIP Festival, which plans to tour throughout Australia starting this August.

According to promoters, Lil’ Skies and Comethazine will join local acts like Ay Huncho, Sophiya and ARMANI.

“Hip-hop and urban music are the most popular and fastest growing genres of music,” Yellow Live promoter and CEO Lui Spedaliere told The Industry Observer. “Australia deserves to experience the world’s biggest stars and the hottest new talent locally and internationally.”

The one-staged festival kicks off on August 31 in Sydney, where the artists will hit the stage at Parramatta Park. From there, they will head to Brisbane Showgrounds for the September 1 date.

The DRIP Festival will hit Melbourne on September 7 (details are forthcoming) and wrap up in Perth at Gloucester Park on September 8.
