(AllHipHop News) Joe Budden has been going hard at Drake under the assumption the OVO leader was sending subliminal shots at him. In particular, the New Jersey rhymer hit Drake with a back-to-back preemptive strike of diss records.
"No Shopping" was premiered this weekend during OVO Sound Radio. Drake opened his verse with "Pump, pump, pump it up. She got a good head on her, but I pump it up. I'm not a one-hit wonder, they know all my stuff."
The words seemed to be a clear reference to Budden's 2003 Top 40 hit "Pump It Up." Budden then released his third diss record, "Afraid," directed at Drake.
However, French is now saying "No Shopping" was not meant to be about the Slaughterhouse member.
"I don't think we did that record thinking about Joe Budden," Montana told MTV. "It's not that I don't think - I know that for a fact."
He later added, "I don't think we ever went in the studio with negative energy, talking about somebody. I feel like we just work and have fun."
