Future Shares His Reaction To Being Labeled The “Male Beyoncé”

"I don't wanna make your wrongs right anymore. I wanna shed light on the right."

(AllHipHop News) Nayvadius "Future" Wilburn becoming the voice of many Millennial men has been an internet meme for years. His tendency to use his music to express guys' views on the pleasure and pain of life gets compared to Beyoncé calling on the ladies to get in formation.

During an interview with Fader, Future was asked about being labeled the male version of Queen Bey. The Atlanta native said, "I feel great. The only reason I say I feel great about that is because I feel like Beyoncé is - if not the greatest - one of the greatest."

"Also, I want to be able to use my voice for a lot of good in men and not just the bad, not just when you're going through a breakup and you just wanna have a party lifestyle. I'm speaking for the man that's going through something. I wanna speak for the men in relationships. I wanna speak for men that's in love. I wanna speak for men that have found true love," stated the Freebandz leader.

He added, "I want to speak for men that went through something but also felt like they wasn't gonna become the person that they are, and they listened to Future and they became a better person. I don't wanna make your wrongs right anymore. I wanna shed light on the right. I just wanna be that voice just how [Beyonce's] voice is as someone that's empowering women. I wanna empower men with that same power but also in the right way."

Future is set to release his seventh studio LP, The Wizrd, on January 18. The album features Young Thug, Gunna, and Travis Scott. A corresponding documentary is available for streaming on Apple Music.
