Fyre Festival Founder Billy McFarland Gets Break; Coming Home From Prison Early

Billy McFarland will be back on the streets soon, after scamming investors out of millions.

(AllHipHop News) Billy McFarland, the founder of the infamous Fyre Festival, will be getting out of jail early.

In October of 2018, Billy was sentenced to six years in prison, after he took a plea deal yesterday and pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud.

The conman was sentenced for an elaborate scheme, which defrauded investors and would-be purchasers of tickets to the Fyre Festival, out of millions of dollars.

The Fyre Festival was supposed to be a lavish party with stars like Lil Yachty, Migos, Bella Hadid, Blink 182 and Kendall Jenner.

Billy is accused of blowing the money on personal luxury items and outrageous expenses.

Bill McFarland and his co-promoter Ja Rule scrapped the event and both men are still fighting off lawsuits connected to the Fyre Festival.

Now it has been confirmed that Billy has already had one year shaven off his prison sentence, and he is due to come out of the can in 2023.
