(AllHipHop News) Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah has co-founded his own cryptocurrency venture.
The rapper is listed as a co-founder of Cream Capital, whose chief executive Brett Westbrook hopes to raise $30 million by selling digital coins to investors.
"Ghostface Killah is a long-time business partner of ours," he explained. "I personally connected with him during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything chat) on (the Reddit messageboard) /r/hiphopheads last year when he was seeking tech-inclined people to work with in future technology focused projects. Dennis is a very forward-thinking person and has a keen interest in emerging technologies."
In addition to co-founding the company, Ghostface Killah will also serve as its "chief branding officer",
with duties that include promoting the product to those who are not technologically aware.
The cryptocurrency firm's name is a reference to the Wu-Tang Clan's 1993 hit "C.R.E.A.M.," which stands for "Cash Rules Everything Around Me."
Westbrook also told NBC News the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office had granted his firm the trademark for the term, "Crypto Rules Everything Around Me".
Cream Capital's digital coins will be available to investors from November (17).
