(AllHipHop News) Elle Varner is a Grammy Award winner, but the songstress is not content with her musical accomplishments. She is a rapidly expanding entity in the rich spirit of independence.
“I’m thankful for my time at RCA but it’s time for me to be a boss," she said in an upcoming interview with AllHipHop. "To really have longevity in the music industry you have be a boss. Now I’m making the music that I want to make."
And now she is taking her show on the road.
Thousands will convene in Downtown Houston to see the Grammy award winner perform with Houston legend Lil Keke at 16th Annual Texas Black Expo outdoor concert.The TBE Summer Celebration goes from June 6-9 and also features former contest winner Vannah Blaq (formerly known as Savannah Hoefnner).The Texas Black Expo's influence and goal extends beyond entertainment, as it is a nonprofit and economic development organization that empowers at-risk businesses and youth. It remains the largest minority business expo and festival in the southern region of the United States. Thousands of attendees explore the offerings of vendors and corporate sponsors.
Elle says she will continue to sprinkle fans with positive vibes.
“I try to write real songs about real situations. I want to a voice for ladies who are going through it. Because some of these situations they are in are a mess," she said. I decided that I was going to make it with my music and the universe opened up for me. It didn’t happen overnight but when it happened, I was ready for it.”
