Gucci Mane Becomes A Temporary Resident Of Canada So He Can Tour The Country

The rap star is heading to Canada to play 10 shows around the country.

(AllHipHop News) Gucci Mane has been made a temporary Canadian resident before his tour heads to the country later this month.

The 39-year-old rapper is taking his jaunt north of the border for 10 gigs across five provinces and is said to have employed the services of an immigration attorney to help him get access to Canada despite his legal history.

Canada Border Services Agency sources told that "anyone crossing the border into Canada must demonstrate they meet the requirements to enter or stay in the country, and involvement in criminal activity is cause to prevent someone from entering."

Gucci has had a series of run-ins with the law and has served 39 months in prison for violating his probation by carrying a gun before he was released in 2016.

Other than some child support issues with his ex, stayed out of trouble, since then.

Gucci's attorney used his legal prowess to obtain a temporary resident permit for Gucci, meaning he has the green light to take his tour to Canada.

Several other music stars haven't been as lucky - Kodak Black had to cancel several gigs in Canada after he was turned away at the U.S. border to the country back in March.

G-Eazy was also prevented from entering the country last summer after being arrested in Sweden, and Chris Brown's criminal past saw him turned away at the border in 2015.
