Gucci Mane Says His Life Isn't That LavishvTo Keep Child Support Payments Low

Gucci Mane's child-support war with his ex continues in court.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Gucci Mane is objecting to his ex's bid for a big bump in child support payments.

Sheena Evans, the mother of his 11-year-old son Keitheon, filed court papers in August seeking to up her monthly checks for just over $2,000 to at least $20,000 to help pay for childcare and other costs.

She argued that the financial agreement they reached back in 2011 is now outdated, as Gucci's career has skyrocketed since he was released from prison in the spring of 2016, after serving almost two years behind bars for aggravated assault charges.

Sheena, who has primary physical custody of their kid, used tabloid claims about the cost of his million-dollar wedding to his girlfriend Keyshia Ka'oir last year to insist that Gucci can easily afford the increased child support, but now the rapper is firing back, insisting that figure is wildly inaccurate.

According to legal papers, Gucci, real name Radric Davis, claims he doesn't lead a lavish lifestyle and argued his nuptials, which were televised on U.S. network BET, did not cost as much as reported.

He is adamant his income has not changed since their child support deal was signed seven years ago, and is demanding the case be dismissed.
