(AllHipHop News) As a large crowd gathered to remember rapper Lonnie Taylor in Jackson, Mississippi earlier this week, gunshots were fired causing the people to flee.
Last Sunday (April 29), rapper Lil’ Lonnie was shot and killed shortly before the clock struck midnight in his hometown of Jackson, Mississippi.
Police reported the aspiring rapper was gunned down only a short distance from his North Jackson home. The 22-year-old was driving down Montebello Drive when he was shot multiple times and crashed into the front of a home.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lonnie’s aunt reports that he “had the world ahead of him.”
On Thursday, hundreds of people gathered in Mississippi’s capital city to remember Lil Lonnie, real name Lonnie Taylor.
Unfortunatley gunfire caused grieving mourners to fleeand while no injuries are reported, police continue to investigate the scene.
